Mobiles in the game have a chance to load randomly selected items.
More powerful mobs generally load better, more powerful random
items for you to find and use. In addition to armor, there are
space-specific items, weapons, multi-use devices, potions, etc.
Random equipment also exists in two other forms: 'named' and
'enhanced' random equipment. The stats on these types of random
equipment can be much greater (or worse) than ordinary random eq.
Examples:
(normal) a pair of gloves
(enhanced) a pair of gloves of the wampa
(named) Kahn's sparking molytex gloves
In general, all named and enhanced random eq should be scanned...

Some items within the game can be used as furniture for your characters to
interact with. Examples might include a tent that can be slept in, or a
chair that can be sat on. Some items are big enough for multiple people.
Furniture can provide a bonus to your regeneration rate, but not all items
are beneficial. Make sure you examine the item closely to see if it's good
or not.
Rare or extremely beneficial items may have a Cost Use associated with them.
This means every tick you rest on/in them, it will cost you a set amount of
credits or experience.

When sleeping occasionally you will have very realistic dreams. The good
ones will help you wake feeling much more refreshed than normal, the bad ones,
the nightmares will not be pleasant or have any regenerative qualities.
Dreams can be affected by your luck rating. If you have good luck you have a
better chance to dream a good dream, while bad luck will bring on more
nightmares.

Pirate Level 60
Usage: hj
hotjump
Pirates are the fastest hyperspace navigators in the galaxy. Using
this skill and speed, they can quickly plot a hyperspace jump
directly out of combat.
Due to their size, this maneuver cannot be performed in a capital
ship. Also, there is a chance that if they fail, they may end up
in another random place in the galaxy.

Usage: friend [playername]
This command allows you to friend/unfriend other players the right to
loot (take items from) your corpse. Usually this is used in a situation
where you cannot get back to where you died right away either due to the
difficulty or due to the time required to get there.
By having one of your pals help you out, the 'friend' command will allow
them to take equipment from your corpse. Unless someone is on your friend
list in this command they will not be able to take equipment from any of
your dead corpses in the world.
Issuing the command with no argument lists your friends.
Repeat friend-ing someone will un-friend them. Therefore the command
acts just like a toggle command but it will not save over reboots/crashes.
Be careful who you entrust with your friend status, and only friend
someone if you trust them with all your equipment and money.

Pirate Level 65
Usage: invert
A Pirate with this skill inverts his/her ship, presenting a fresh
shield section to the enemy, and in effect getting a boost in shield
integrity. Due to both power and maneuverability requirements, this can
only be performed with medium and large sized ships, and only once every
2 minutes. Inverting outside of combat has no effect on shields.
