#250 Bounty Hunter Level 7 Technician Level 9 Usage: stun While honour and fair fighting are to be applauded, it is often the 'dirty' fighter who comes out on top. This skill represents the various methods one might use in order to distract or disable an opponent temporarily, allowing the attacker to inflict greater damage. Using this skill, you can cause an enemy to miss a round of combat. Players below subber level are immune from this loss of equipment. Additionally, some pieces of equipment can be protected from this loss. Items that are flagged !Subloss will never be lost to subber death. Typically these are custom weapons, armor, or gloves. While protected from subber death, !Subloss items are still just as vulnerable to looting and deathtraps. With the survival skill, the Explorer will avoid weather damage (Pesky Lightning Bolts) and know how to swim underwater for extended durations. See Also: Weather Explorer ~ #256 Mercenary Level 18 The success of a sweep depends upon how well you are learned. To sweep someone is to attempt to 'trip' that person to the ground. If you succeed you will inflict minor damage, and cause the victim to fall on it's rear. The victim will be unable to issue any commands for 2 rounds of violence. Unlike Bash, if you miss you will not fall to the ground. A sweep makes you unable to type commands for 2 rounds of violence. Note that hitting a person who is resting/sitting will inflict increased damage. However, it is much harder to swindle someone out equipment if it is in use or worn. A high charisma is the swindler's best friend during these exchanges. If no item is specified, the swindler will try to get anything he can. Mobs can learn from a swindler, and may be harder to swindle in the future. May the 'borrower' beware. Swindlers can be found on any planet in the galaxy, but a pleasant conversation with a swindler can lead to empty pockets. Most fear making a deal with a swindler. Swindlers are no wimps in the offensive department, but their main strength lies in their ability to gather items without a fight. They are the best in the galaxy in that regard. They are professionals when it comes to money and equipment.
