#220 Defender Level 78 Sith Marauder Level 85 Usage: throw With the Saber Throw, the Sith Marauder or Defender has learned how to throw their saber during combat. A thrown saber will deal damage determined by the damage dice of the lightsaber and the location upon the target which the saber strikes. Additional effects will apply to the target depending on the location hit. For example, a leg strike will hamstring the target and reduce its movement. After the lightsaber is thrown, he will automatically recall his weapon to his hand to continue fighting. For rooms that restrict usage of the force or low focus levels can prevent this from happening and the lightsaber will then find itself upon the ground. There is a timer on this skill and the skill applies only to wielded lightsabers. There is an added bonus for dual-bladed lightsabers. See Also: Throw Defender Sith marauder ~ #221 Jedi Level 14 Usage: conc 'sense danger' Sense Danger allows a Jedi, whether on the Dark Side or Light Side, to sense the intentions and general level of hostility (aggressive or not) of mobs in the general area. The usage is automatic. See Also: Jedi ~ #222 Farmer Level 7 Usage: weather Farmers need to know exactly what the weather is like, and what kind of weather is on the way. Weather sense provides a more scientific reading of the weather through use of the weather command. While more accurate and detailed, there is still a chance this prediction may be wrong. (But you should have better odds than the weather man, who probably isn't even from the planet your on!) See Also: Weather Farmer ~ #223 Usage: serve emperor (Level 30 Required) If one visits Emperor Palpatine within his palace on the planet Coruscant, you could choose to serve him for all time. This is a dangerous proposition that comes with both great rewards and great danger. A Servant of the Emperor is blessed with increased offensive spell power, increased regeneration and recovery rates and the mark of the Dark Side itself. As part of its seduction, servants of the Emperor are given the fast track to power, receiving a generous experience bonus. There is one great penalty, however, that all Servants of the Emperor must face. When you die, your character suffers a more costly death. A character in the service of the Emperor lose all experience-based gains and restart at level 1. This does not apply to death traps or any player vs. player combat. Note: Serving is a risk, when you serve the Emperor there is a good chance you will eventually die and have to start over. All levels, proficiencies, and class skills will be reset like the day you created the character. Once you begin serving the Emperor, there is no leaving his service. Choose wisely. There is one great penalty, however, that all Servants of the Emperor must face. When you die, you will not come back and given another chance like all others, but instead your character is permanently dead. You will be deleted and forced to remake from the beginning. This does not apply to death traps or any player vs. player combat. Note: Serving is a risk, when you serve the Emperor there is a good chance you will eventually, permanently lose your character. There are extremely few instances when we will ever restore a served character that has died. We do NOT restore characters due to server problems, lag, or stupidity. Occasionally we will restore a character due to a bug, but this happens very rarely, and will not always happen. If you die and believe you should be reimbursed and you then log back in as a new character using your old name (which in turn deletes your old pfile permanently) then there will be absolutely no reimbursement possible, regardless of the cause of death. See Also: Reimbursement ~ #225 Usage: shadow With this skill, a character begins to follow a victim without their knowing it. The character will sneak quietly into each room, and will remain hidden until a command is received by the mud. If you break the hide by typing a command simply type shadow again to slip back into hiding. example: >shadow citizen You start to shadow your unknowing victim. > [You hit or typed a command and stop hiding.] >shadow You slip back into shadows to avoid being seen. To stop shadowing someone, simply type: fol self See Also: Assassin Hide ~ #226 Any vessel capable of hyperspace travel can, with the assistance of a Ship Tech, have a Special System installed on their ship. Serving no one but himself and evil, he scorns life and the light. Sith Lords are the harbingers of Darkness. Sith Lords carry with them some of the most dangerous force abilities ever recorded. They can kill with a touch, and sometimes even that is not needed. Sith Lords are the sworn enemies of many a great Jedi Master. This skill, honed from years in combat, provides useful information regarding the aggressiveness of opposing mobs. See Also: Commando ~ #229 Jedi Level 14 Usage: slash Usage: slash With the slash command a Jedi (or future Sith) slashes at his opponent with his lightsaber causing damage and possibly a greater effect. There is a small chance the enemy will lose a hand in the attack. The slash attack also inflicts a jagged wound to the target, that unlike most saber attacks will bleed and continue to cause damage to the target. The slash skill also can be used to melt or carve through some locked doors. This requires a good deal of dexterity and wisdom in order to perform and a clumsy slash could even injure the Jedi. Be aware that some doors may be heavily reinforced or heat-resistant and no amount of slashing will be able to cut through. See Also: Lightsaber Jedi ~
