#200 The strife between the Rebellion against the Empire draws many followers to both sides. Many men and women who fought for monetary reasons soon found themselves devoted to a cause. The commando is a mercenary who fights for a reason, sometimes employing irregular warfare to accomplish his goals. The commando is a great warrior, and near fanatical in battle, taking great risks for great benefits. The Alliance includes diverse races such as Sullustans, Bothans, Mon Calamari, Wookiees, Quarrans and many others. Humans currently make up the bulk of the Rebellion, however. The Rebels know that their chances of victory are slim, but they do have right - and the force - on their side. They are lead by a Council, headed by determined Chandrilan Mon Mothma. See Also: Empire Faction Rebnet Outpost ~ #202 Bodyguard Level 100 Usage: strike With strike force a Bodyguard will call in a skilled team of operatives that will assist in the current combat situation. These are not followers but assisting mobiles, and they will only stay for the duration of one battle. Afterwards they will return back to their other duties. The strike command is to be used once combat has begun, and up to a half dozen strike force members will assist you. The number is random, but charisma will bring up the minimum total. There are six types of team members that will support you, each with his or her own skills, Which type assist you is totally random. Strike Force Assistors: Soldier - Standard combat troop with mercenary skill set. Infiltrator - Dexterous troop with smuggler skill set. Medic - A healing troop type, Medics will heal you in combat. Saboteur - An explosive expert, they have high damage capabilities. Martyr - Willing to die for the cause, the martyr will 'Protect' you. Fanatic - A crazed fighter--high damage, many attacks. Strike forces must regroup and rearm for a short time before being able to be used again. This ability cannot be used in space. See Also: Bodyguard ~ #203 Usage: Automatic The cunning commando has studied many, many opponents and has come to understand their strengths and weaknesses. These weaknesses in particular can be exploited by a commando to drastically increase the effectiveness of his attacks. When the commando sees an opportunity, he will attempt to strike his opponent in a critical area. Perhaps a chink in someone's armor or an exposed actuator on a droid. Critical hit works only on land. Critical hits from a commando do triple damage. As your experience increases with level, so does your ability see such weaknesses and to pull off such attacks. See Also: Lucky shot Commando ~ #204 Inventor Level 84 Usage: conc 'recharge' Recharge allows an Inventor to replenish the charges in a multi-use device, but they must be careful because if overcharged the multi-use device will explode. Recharge items can also at times wear out and the Inventor will no longer be able to recharge them. See Also: Inventor ~ #205 Explorer Level 13 Usage: conc 'recharge light' Getting caught without a light in an unknown location can be a very dangerous thing. Recharging a light can extend it's life greatly however there is a chance that you can damage the light beyond repair in the process. See Also: Light Explorer Technician ~ #206 Defender Level 90 Usage: redirect redirect redirect Imagine for a minute, you could see attacks before they happen, and had the ability to redirect these predicted attacks at another target before they struck home. Those very strong in the force can do just this. With redirect, a skilled force user can redirect several of his victims attacks when they are in combat. These redirected attacks can even be redirected at another target in the area. This skill is based off his/her skill level, wisdom and the level of the target they are attempting to redirect. Redirecting attacks without a target will result in the attacks striking harmlessly against the ground, wall, or whatever might be in the area. See Also: Defender ~ #207 Regeneration refers to one's ability to recover Hit Points, Mana and Moves over time. This ability to regain lost points is enhanced by resting or sleeping. This recovery is further increase by staying well fed (full) and having plenty to drink (not thirsty). Allowing oneself to become hungry and thirsty will drastically slow a player's regeneration. This is NOT a wise condition to be in. See Also: Regen-stim Furniture Sleep Rest Drink Eat ~ #208 Reimbursement only happens when a players loses eq through due to errors in the game. This includes things like: -errors in the code -zone errors, such as dark DTs or other things -Imm errors, such as testing or forcing people Things that DO NOT warrant reimbursements: -Game crashes -Legitimate deaths due to playing, pkillers, etc. -DTs -Player stupidity, such as drunken self-deletes. See Also: Subber death Death Serve ~ #209 Usage: reload rearm status Characters can reload weapon systems, ammo hoppers in their armor, energy shields, jetpacks/jetboots, and anything else that uses consumable fuel or ammunition. Spacers can rearm their ships with proton torpedoes, concussion missiles, or whatever other systems the Techno Union devises in the future. Systems automatically regain ammo/fuel at a certain rate. Combat, or other heavy use, may necessitate active reloading. Reloading takes time and attention. Therefore, it cannot be done in the heat of battle, except by those trained in the art of quickloading. Each system has a maximum capacity. Some guilds train their members in how to overload weapons and systems. Many types of ammunition and fuel load in the game. Some other, more specialized types must be constructed Inventors, Space Engineers, or procured from an Arms Dealer. Status shows the amount of ammunition or fuel loaded, and the maximum capacity of the systems currently equipped or piloted by the character, depending on whether they are in space or on land.
