#10 SP Skill: Cost 50sp Usage: Automatic A Jedi or Sith is sometimes found without their lightsaber, either by unfortunate circumstances or a disarming opponent. In such cases skilled Force users can harness the power of the Force to reach out and block otherwise deadly attacks ~ #11 Usage: barricade Secure an exit using special items designed to block off a pathway. Mobs and players trying to leave in the barricaded direction will be unable to leave the room. However: if there are too many mobs or players in the room, *most* barricades will be destroyed and allow the person trying to leave to successfully leave the room. The same is true for *most* barricades if a player or mobile is bullheaded enough to continually try and exit by hitting the barricade; in which case it will disintegrate and allow them to exit the room. There are varying barricades that load across the galaxy. There are also randomly generated items that can be used as barricades. In either case, all barricades in the game have varying strength and height values which affect how well they secure a particular exit from being used. See Also: Barrier ~ #12 Smuggler Level 26 Usage: backstab Backstab is a way to sneak up on a person and attempt to place your dagger in his back, at exactly the point where it does most damage. A successful backstab gives a damage multiplier, depending on level: Levels Multiplier ------ ---------- 26-39 3 40-59 4 60-69 5 70-79 6 80-99 7 100 10 The chance of successfully backstabbing a person depends on how well you have practiced backstab at your guild. You can always backstab sleeping people. This skill allows the mercenary to bandage his own wounds and apply rudimentary first aid, speeding the healing process and allowing him to continue to fight when others need to stop and rest. It requires the user to have a medical kit in their inventory. See Also: Lesser class Merchant ~ #15 Merchant Level 8 Usage: automatic With the Barter skill, a Merchant can negotiate a better deal with shopkeepers, and sell items for a greater amount than what a shop keeper would normally pay. Charisma has a great effect on how much more money can be made. See Also: Merchant Lesser class ~ #16 Mercenary Level 5 Usage: bash bash The success of a bash depends upon how well you are learned. To bash someone is to attempt to 'knock' that person over. If you succeed you will inflict minor damage, and cause the victim to fall on their rear. The victim will be unable to fight for a short period of time. If you miss, you may lose your balance and fall, potentially injuring yourself. Note that hitting a person who has been bashed will inflict increased damage. Bash can also be used to attempt to knock down doors. The chance of success depends greatly upon your strength, your skill, your health and the hardiness of the door. When attempting to bash down a door one of four possibilities may result: 1) Your bash is successful. You knock the door down and your forward momentum will carry you into the next room. 2) Your attempt fails, but you cause damage to the door, weakening it for future attempts. 3) Your attempt fails with no effect. 4) Your attempt fails, but the door is so solid you injure yourself in the process. See Also: Mercenary ~ #17 Mercenary Level 44 Usage: berserk This ability allows a Mercenary to lash out at multiple enemies in a savage attack. It can be used several times in a single fight to inflict damage on multiple opponents, but you will tire out and have to wait awhile before it can then be used again. Skilled mercs can differentiate between friend and foe while berserking, but it is by no means a sure thing. See Also: Mercenary ~ #18 Usage: Automatic Biomechanical armor is a recent advance in armor systems. Hence, the cost of installation is high. However, that advantage of having armor capable of repairing itself in combat is great. The armor has a rudimentary bio-organic intelligence which senses when it has been damaged and activates a survivalistic, self-healing mechanism, which begins to slowly repair the cybernetic hull of the ship. These attacks will quickly tire a Cyborg however, so cannot be used often without consequence. See Also: Cyborg ~
